Calgary, Alberta, 1 April 1993: A Summary of Discussion
The Export Impact Assessment (EIA) is one part of the public hearing component of the Market-Based Procedure (MBP), the method by which the Board assesses applications for long-term natural gas export licences. The intent of the EIA is to allow the Board to determine whether a proposed export is likely to cause Canadians difficulty in meeting their energy requirements at fair market prices.--Introduction
