This first volume is designed to elaborate the methodology used by the Canadian Army Land Warfare Centre (CALWC) in determining its vision of the future security environment and the potential alternative futures in which the Canadian Army may find itself in 2040. Volume I begins a new cycle of Canadian Army capability development that focuses on developing a vision of the Future Army.
