"The purpose of this guideline is to assist the principal and staff of Indian reserve schools to establish a high standard of fire safety in these schools. The major factors in school fire protection and prevention are outlined to emphasize the need for planning. Planning reduces the chance of fire and increases emergency preparedness should a fire break out. This guideline provides information required by the principal to assist him in establishing and implementing an efficient fire safety program."--Introduction.
