Textile test methods : bursting strength - ball burst test = Méthodes pour épreuves textiles : résistance à l'éclatement - essai d'éclatement à la bille / prepared by the Canadian General Standards Board...: P29-004-002-11-2-M89-2013-PDF

"This method determines the bursting strength of knitted and other non-woven fabrics by the ball burst procedure. Although it may also be used with woven fabrics, it should be noted that for such materials it is the breaking strength of the less extensible set of yarns that governs the value of bursting strength observed. This method is recommended for very extensible fabrics and for fabrics of bursting strengths exceeding 2 MPa by the diaphragm method (CAN/CGSB-4.2 No. 11.1-M)"--Purpose and Scope.
