“In order to further protect African grey parrots (Psittacus erithacus) from continued over-harvest resulting from an increasing commercial demand, Canada has updated the Wild Animal and Plant Trade Regulations (WAPTR) to increase restrictions on the international trade of this species in keeping with decisions made by the 17th Conference of the Parties (CoP17) to the Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)"--p.
