The land that never melts : Auyuittuq National Park / edited by Roger Wilson.: R63-130/1976E-PDF

"Since becoming Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs, I have had great pleasure in seeing the steadily mounting interest in Auyuittuq National Park on Baffin Island. The park has attracted visitors from all over the world and has provided them with the challenges and satisfactions that only the arctic environment can generate. As with all of our National Parks, Auyuittuq represents a natural region of national significance. It is also one of our most remote parks and as a result is not likely to be visited by the majority of Canadians. This book is an effort to make Auyuittuq more "accessible". It is part of a continuing effort to bring to Canadians the riches represented in their National Parks"--Judd Buchanan, Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs, p. x.
