Canada's stewardship agenda : implementation of priority actions / prepared by the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Stewardship Working Group.: CW66-227/2003-PDF

"Canada's Stewardship Agenda presents the vision of our nation where Canadians are actively working together to sustain our natural life-support systems. The Stewardship Agenda was endorsed by Federal-Provincial-Territorial Resource Ministers in September 2002. The implementation of this Agenda is led by the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Stewardship Working Group, which is working closely with the national Biodiversity Working Group to facilitate implementation of the Canadian Biodiversity Strategy. This Stewardship Agenda presents goals and a series of objectives as well as four "Priority Actions" for implementation. ... This report provides examples of actions initiated during the last year towards the four priority actions, selected successful stewardship initiatives, and a summary of major recommendations from two national stewardship conferences held this past year including the draft Canadian Stewardship Charter. The final section outlines a path forward for the activities of the Stewardship Working Group in the forthcoming year, from September 2003 onward"--Introd., p. 4.
