"While available data suggests that technology transfer between academia and industry is occurring at an increasing rate since 1998, a strong impression remains that Canada does not perform as well as it should. This report presents recommendations to facilitate and increase technology transfer in Canada. The Committee’s study on intellectual property (IP) and technology transfer consisted of seven meetings that took place between 15 May and 20 June 2017. The Committee benefited from a total of forty-two submissions, in the form of oral and written testimonies"--Introd., p. 3.
