"Recent advances in Land Mobile system development has provided increasing evidence that digital transmission of dispatch data as well as other digitally encoded information will constitute an important part of Land Mobile communication traffic. The need for the development of guidelines identifying transmission characteristics, requirements, and limitations of digital transmission is becoming increasingly urgent.
