Predators of shrimp (Pandalus borealis) in the Cartwright (Div. 2J) and Hopedale (Div. 2H) Channels / by W.R. Bowring, G.R. Lilly, and D.G. Parsons. : Fs70-8/82-09E-PDF

"Research and commercial fishing data obtained from the Hopedale and Cartwright Channels in 1980 indicated a substantial increase in the abundance of Greenland halibut (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides) which is presumed to be the chief predator of shrimp in these areas. Cursory interpretation of the data (Bowering and Parsons, 1981) indicated the possibility of management alternatives, depending on whether or not the increase was an anomaly, compared to other years, or more long-standing. … This paper addresses the shrimp management implications introduced in the previous work and provides preliminary information on food and feeding habits of these predators in the two Labrador Channels"--Introduction, page 3.
