Welfare incomesHS51-1E-PDF

Presents the welfare rates over the year in Canadian provinces and territories. Welfare incomes are estimated for four types of households: a single employable person; a single person with a disability; a single-parent family with a 2-year-old child; and a two-parent family with two children aged 10 and 15. The report looks at whether welfare is adequate, the gap between welfare and average incomes, changes to welfare over time, and the relationship between welfare and poverty over time.
