This is the annual report on the administration of the Lobbyists Registration Act. It provides statistics on the subject matter of lobbyists’ activities; the government departments and agencies being lobbied; and active lobbyists and active registrations. Lobbyists are paid to communicate with federal public office holders in attempts to influence government decisions. They can be consultants that provide lobbying services to their clients; corporate lobbyists, paid for by their employer; and senior officers in non-profit organizations and interest groups.
