This report details Canada’s continuing progress on the Ottawa Convention, which bans antipersonnel mines. It provides background on the landmine problem and signing of the Ottawa Convention. Progress is reported in the Convention’s five core obligations: advocacy and universalization; stockpile destruction; mine clearance; mine risk education; and survivor assistance.
