Presents an overview of the health of the First Nations in Alberta. Includes trends in life expectancy, deaths from various causes such as injuries, heart disease, cancer, and respiratory illnesses; communicable disease control measures such as immunization coverage rates among preschool and school-age First Nations children, pandemic and seasonal influenza vaccine coverage, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, and other notifiable disease incidence rates; and environmental public health activities to ensure safe drinking water and healthy indoor environments as efforts are carried out to assess and mitigate risks in the First Nations communities.
