In December 1999, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, in collaboration with the Prince Edward Island Department of Technology and Environment, sponsored a scientific workshop to examine the impacts of land use practices on aquatic resources in the province. This technical report examines how sedimentation, toxic chemicals, livestock access to watercourses, and anthropogenic nutrient releases have affected the streams and estuaries on the island. Includes diagrams, maps, and tables.
