The key study objectives were: To examine the nature and extent of private rental housing investment in Canada; To develop a profile of who is investing in private rental housing; and To establish a thorough understanding of what investors and lenders consider in their decision-making process. The ultimate goal of the research was to provide a solid basis from which public and private sector decision-makers can act in an informed manner.
