Consultation on disability surveys : report / Prepared by the Applied Research Branch, Strategic Policy Group, Human Resources Development Canada.: RH64-1/2000E

The report summarizes the results of a broad consultation undertaken by Income Security and Social Development Studies, Applied Research Branch, Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) about the Health and Activity Limitation Survey (HALS) to be conducted by Statistics Canada in 2001. The new survey represents one component of a broader disability research agenda. HRDC wanted to endure that the new survey is based on as much input from the community of users as possible. The consultation process had two components: 1) a written questionnaire and 2) face-to-face cross-country discussions with groups representing persons with disabilities. Statistics Canada was involved in both aspects.--Page 7
