Friendship that makes a world of difference : [video recording]join the Host Program and make a friend: Ci51-154/2008-DVD
Provides a window into the Host Program from the perspective of the volunteer hosts and newcomers to Canada. The individuals who appear in the DVD discuss the realities and rewards of participating in the program. Through a series of vignettes of Host matches across Canada, we see how the program provides opportunities to make new friends, practise English or French, learn about the local community, discover other cultures and experience the pleasure of lending a helping hand.
