Le présent rapport décrit ce qui est connu de la nouvelle Prestation fiscale canadienne pour enfants et ce qui reste à faire pour qu'elle entre en vigueur. Nous abordons aussi certaines autres questions qui préoccupent actuellement le Conseil national du bien-être social. Dans le dernier chapitre, nous adressons des recommandations aux gouvernements qui s'apprêtent à mettre la touche finale au projet de régime national de prestations pour enfants.--Introduction
