In October 2010, the Expert Panel on Research and Development was charged by the Government of Canada to examine how to strengthen the impact of federal investments in support of a more innovative economy. Innovation Canada: A Call to Action, the expert panel’s final report, published in October 2011, lays out a series of recommendations for government's support to innovation. The report flows from a year of extensive research, program analysis and consultations.
