Cover image

In early 2013, victims of crime, victim-serving agencies, advocates and other stakeholders with diverse perspectives were brought together by the Office of the Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime (OFOVC) to explore the overarching question “what could Canada become that would reflect our greatest hopes for the future of victims of crime?”. Through a cross-country engagement process, which culminated in a two-day Forum in Ottawa on April 18 and 19, participants worked together to identify hopes and strategies for mobilizing positive change for victims; to provide advice to the federal government on a proposed Bill of Victims Rights; and to shape and inform the future work of the OFOVC. The voices of all participants are captured and summarized in this document.
