Nation to nation : Indian nation - crown relations in Canada / a report prepared for the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples by Thalassa Research.Z1-1991/1-41-101E-PDF

This report is the result of two research projects undertaken by Thalassa Research for the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples. For the first project Thalassa was asked to provide an analytic framework for shaping, interpreting and synthesizing the results from the Commission's treaty case studies (draft reports) and to consider treaties as a foundation for First Nations' economic self-reliance and social development. For the second project Thalassa was asked to describe the historical, legal and practical significance of the bilateral relationship between Treaty First Nations and the Crown, and to review previous and existing models for addressing treaty issues.
