"The projections are for each of the Regions of the Indian and Eskimo Affairs Program in which the Department has educational responsibilities; the British Columbia and Yukon Regions have been combined for statistical purposes only. The population in question is that of Registered Indians ages 5 to 19 and resident on reserves and Crown lands. Age-specific levels of net migration from reserves and Crown lands and of mortality during the latter 1960’s are assumed to persist."--p. [1].
