"The Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) is a five-year policy framework for the 2018 to 2022 program years. The Partnership strengthens Canada’s agriculture, agri-food and agri-based products sector while offering producers a variety of tools to help manage significant risks that threaten the viability of a farm. CAP includes an effective suite of Business Risk Management programs. AgriStability is one of the Business Risk Management programs under CAP. It protects Canadian producers against large declines in farming income for reasons such as production loss, increased costs and market conditions. The federal and provincial/territorial governments cost share AgriStability on a 60/40 basis.
