"This is the first issue in a series of standard table(s) on the demographic aspects of deaths in Canada for the data years 1987 and 1988. For Canada, the ten provinces and the two territories, the statistical tables in this document mainly relate to: the numbers and rates of: deaths by marital status, age and sex; infant, neonatal, postnatal and perinatal deaths; maternal deaths and; stillbirths of at least twenty weeks gestation at the time of birth. ... Information on deaths and the related demographic information for each of the data years 1975 to 1986 is contained in the annual report entitled, "Births and Deaths, Vital Statistics Volume I" Catalogue 84-204"--Methodological note, 1987/88.
