"This interim report details progress made in the areas of channel validation, characterizing and categorizing errors, and simulating the broadcast Telidon system. Details have been relegated to appendices, for the most part. The first section discusses the Telidon RF propagation model and simulation results. The second section deals with characterizing error sequences and developing error process models. Categorizing errors and establishing performance degradations are also discussed in this section. The final section deals with the simulation program, and includes a description of the program structure and important components (i.e. noise and recovery modules). Some preliminary simulation results are also contained in Section 3"--Page 1.
