"The modeling approach in the AES program has been to develop a modular system over the next few years. The first step has been the development and implementation of a capability for three-dimensional trajectory analysis (Olson et al., 1978). The model uses objectively-analyzed wind fields and computes vertical motions at the following four pressure levels: 1000, 850, 700, and 500 mb"--Overview.
