"The purpose of this document is to provide the user with technical information about the AES experimental long-range forecast products. It gives an explanation of the forecast product, various classes used to describe temperature and precipitation and how the forecasts should be interpreted. The advantages and limitations of expressing the forecast in terms of probabilities are discussed. The question of how the monthly and seasonal forecasts are prepared is addressed in detail.
