The applicability of data bases on combined environmental extremes for calculation of loads on offshore structures : final report / submitted to Supply and Services Canada, Scientific Authority: Val Swail...En57-55/89-1E-PDF

"The objective of the present study is to investigate the applicability of environmental data bases to the calculation of load combinations on offshore structures. The principal Canadian agencies which archive wind, wave, ice, current and earthquake data have been consulted. The nature and origin of the data, the spatial and temporal coverage and the quality control are assessed with the objective of determining the parameters required to perform load combination analyses. Software capabilities are appraised from the viewpoint of the quality and the efficiency of the output products, the availability of user-defined data set operations and the possibility of incorporating load combination techniques"--Abstract, page i.
