"This report is an effort to formalize institutional memory and document the history, past protocols, and status of the Maritimes Region Ecosystem Surveys Program during the first fifty years of standardized surveys (1970-2020). Published and unpublished DFO documents related to the survey were consulted to provide an accurate depiction of the Maritimes Ecosystem Surveys Program’s design and methods over time.
