"The objective of the research is to assess changes in the perspective of Canadians concerning the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and related military issues through quantitative and qualitative methods. To meet this objective, a comparative analysis of data, collected in previous waves, is required. A secondary objective is to explore, qualitatively, the perception of the CAF and attitudes toward security and defence"--Page 6.
