2026 public opinion research on plastic waste and pollution in Canada / prepared for Environment and Climate Change Canada.En4-770/2026E-PDF

"Canadians are concerned about the health and environmental impacts of plastics and expect governments to take action to address plastic pollution. In response to this, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) commissioned Pollara Strategic Insights to conduct public opinion research to better understand Canadians' perspectives on plastic waste and pollution. Key areas of focus included Canadians' knowledge of terms and practices related to plastic waste and pollution and the circular plastics economy, their understanding of the impact of their personal actions, their consumption and disposal habits, and their level of concern about plastic waste and pollution"--Executive summary, page [6].
