Oceanographic conditions in the Atlantic Zone in 2025 / Peter S. Galbraith, Marjolaine Blais, Martine Lizotte, David Bélanger, Benoit Casault, Stephanie Clay, Chantelle Layton, Jared Penney, Carrie-Ellen...: Fs97-18/420E-PDF
"This summarizes oceanographic conditions for 2025 detailed in Atlantic Zone Monitoring Program (AZMP) reports. Sea surface temperatures were on average above normal, but anomalies were much weaker than the previous four years. The cold intermediate layer was generally warmer than normal, with conditions remaining similar for the past three years. Bottom temperatures in the deep channels of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Scotian Shelf, a mixture of Labrador Current water and Gulf Stream waters, show further decreases from the 2022 record highs"--Abstract, page iv.
