"This report describes a pilot project, co-sponsored by the federal Ministry of the Solicitor General and the Ministry of Attorney General of B.C., to provide group therapy in Vancouver for men who had assaulted their spouses. Men were recruited into the program in three ways (in order of project priority): (1) directed by the court to attend as a condition of probation; (2) referred by family court counsellors, and (3) referred by others or self-referred. In the year from June 1982 to May 1983, five groups were run under the leadership of co-counsellors"--Abstract.
