"The evaluation scope covers the period from January 2000 to December 2022. The evaluation focuses on a full assessment of the fishing benefits between 2000 and 2019 and presents early impacts of the temporary COVID-19 measures. This evaluation was carried out in alignment with departmental priorities. EI fishing benefits were last assessed as part of the last comprehensive summative evaluation of EI benefits which was completed in 2006"--page 6.
