Analysis of lake and drainage area counts and measures for selected watersheds across Ontario's Shield region / by C.K. Minns.Fs97-4/1748E-PDF

"This report provides a summary and analysis of lake area, drainage area, and lake order data from thirty watersheds in Ontario. The data are compared with previous counts and measures data. The total dataset is compared to the subset of lakes that have been inventoried for their fish assemblage by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. The results show that this data is similar to that collected previously and that inventory selection is biased toward larger lakes and against headwater systems"--Abstract, page iv.
