Climate change and monetary policy : navigating physical risks / Tatjana Dahlhaus.: FB3-8/2026-44E-PDF
"This note examines the implications of physical climate risks for monetary policy along two dimensions. First, we review the literature on how climate-related disasters affect economic activity and inflation, and we assess the historical evidence on the output-inflation trade-off in the Canadian context. Second, to better understand how these trade-offs may evolve in a future marked by more frequent and severe natural disasters, we employ a structural modeling approach to quantify their potential macroeconomic impacts and the associated trade-offs for monetary policy"--page 1.
