This study identifies ways to improve the management skill capabilities of SMEs in Atlantic Canada. It focuses on the identification of best management practices (BMPs) which are generally defined as: a continuous process of enhancing the skills of SMEs business owners, managers and employees so that survival, growth and competitiveness are supported from business start-up through to maturity.--Page 1
