Part I addresses the state of the National parks and National Historic Sites at the level of national significance. It provides background on the progress toward the establishment of new parks and sites.... It is intended that future Reports will highlight other topics which reflect or describe the state of the resources. Part II contains a profile statement of each National Park and National Historic Site in the systems.... It is anticipated that it will be necessary to republish the profiles in the complete format of Part II of this Report every ten years.--Verso of each title page
