This report explains the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI), including additions and other new information for 2001. It summarizes the ways in which industry disposed of NPRI substances both on and off site, as well as listing the 25 NPRI pollutants disposed of in the largest quantities in 2001. It summarizes off-site transfers of material to be treated before final disposal in 2001. A bibliography provides various government and Web references, as well as contact information for related organizations.
