This report is Canada’s contribution to the FAO’s report on the state of the world’s animal genetic resources. It examines genetic resources in the farm animal sector; reviews the changing demands on the sector and implications for future national policies and programs; reviews the state of national capacities; and examines priorities for an enhanced national program of sustainable conservation and use of these resources. Includes data tables and recommendations for international cooperation.
