"This bulletin gives final figures for the gainfully occupied population, 14 years of age and over, as reported at the census date, October 1, 1945, for Newfoundland and census districts. The gainfully occupied, for Newfoundland, are classified according to occupation, by industrial status and sex, in Table 1 and according to industry, by industrial status and sex, in Table 2. Data for census districts are given in Tables 3 and 4 which show the gainfully occupied classified according to occupation groups and industry groups, respectively, by industrial status and sex"--Pref.
