Laboratory tests have shown that a sulphuric acid leach, followed by the oxidation of the leach solution with sodium chlorate and the precipitation of the vanadium with ammonia, will produce commercial vanadium pentoxide of a grade suitable for the production of ferro-vanadium alloys.
