"At the request of management and in preparation for a planned Office of the Auditor General audit in 1996, an interim audit of the Atlantic Coastal Action Program was conducted during the second quarter of 1994-95. The Atlantic Coastal Action Program (ACAP) was designed as a demonstration project with an objective of planning for the restoration and conservation of 13 severely degraded coastal harbour and watershed areas. In practice, the ACAP sites have concentrated their efforts on the long-term planning for the sites, local action projects and overall education"--page [2].
