"This report provides a preliminary estimate of economic activity in the Great Lakes drainage regions (see Map. 1) from the present through the year 2020. Figures for real domestic product (excluding housing but including 31 other industrial categories) provide the projected measures of such activity. These projections are intended to serve as reference, or benchmark, measures of economic output which, as the project continues, will be modified to reflect such things as pollution abatement activities in each of the regions and Canada as a whole"--Introduction, page 1.
