"Using data from the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Survey, this Juristat article examines the incidence and nature of police-reported drug offences in Canada. It explores the long-term trends in possession, trafficking, production, importing and exporting of cannabis, cocaine, heroin and a catch-all category of "other" drugs, including methamphetamine (crystal meth) and ecstasy. It also presents information from the Adult Criminal Court Survey (ACCS) and the Youth Court Survey (YCCS) on the decisions and sentencing outcomes for those charged with drug offences"--Page 6.
