"The levels of noise encountered in the crew compartments (during normal cruise conditions) of aircraft flown by the Canadian Forces (CF) during the past 25 years have been, in many instances, in excess of 115 dB. When men sustain repeated exposure to such levels for a number of years, it becomes vitally important to determine the effects of such exposure upon their hearing"--Abstract, page iii.
