"Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has been conducting the Strategic Issues Survey, a survey of producers, since 2007. This fiscal year marks the ninth wave of the survey. In 2010, a qualitative study was introduced, implemented every second wave, to help optimize the interpretive value of the data collected through the survey. This qualitative phase of research will allow AAFC to gain a rich understanding of issues presented in the quantitative phase of this research"--Executive summary, page 4.
