"In this case, in a letter dated August 18, 2022, the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner referred to me, under subsection 24(2.1) of the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act, allegations of a conflict of interest contained in a disclosure in relation to the conduct of the head of a federal organization (hereafter referred to as the "Organization"). According to the summary of the disclosure provided by the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner, the discloser alleged that the subject of the allegations placed themselves in a conflict of interest by continuing to engage in activities involving their prior employer in the context of their public duties. It was also alleged that the subject gave "the impression of a favourable treatment" of a particular topic, a field of expertise that relates to the mandate of the Organization and corresponds to the subject's own specialty and professional expertise"--Referral and process, page 1.
