"On 2 March 2026, the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance (the committee) launched its pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2026 federal budget and asked interested Canadian organizations and individuals to submit briefs. Selected witnesses were also invited to appear before the committee to present their priorities for the 2026 budget. The committee received 1351 briefs and held five hearings, during which it heard from 90 organizations and individuals"--Recommendations, page [1].
